Don't you wish you had a magic wand...

Well, now's your chance. In celebration of the release of Wishful Thinking, I'm giving away a wand (the magic will have to be provided by you).

This wand, along with its carrying case, the entire Time of Transition series, and assorted collector cards and bookmarks, will belong to one lucky winner. Just leave your email address (so I can contact you) and answer the following question in the comments:

What's something in your life that you would consider magic? (Broad definition; it doesn't have to be actual magic.)

If you can't access the comments (because I've had some people say they can't), just send an email to GabiStevens505 (at) gmail(dot)com and I'll be sure to enter you.

Now here are the details:
1. Leave a comment or email me with the answer to the question and a way to contact you.
2. Only one entry per person, but feel free to comment on other people's comments. I just won't count those.
3. Contest ends April 20.
4. I'll choose a winner through Random.org and contact them.
5. I will put everything in the mail on April 21, with the possible exception of the copy of Wishful Thinking if I don't have my author copies yet. If that's the case, then I'll send it as soon as I have them. Or if the winner doesn't get back to me with their address by April 21.
(Added April 1, but it's not a joke) 6. I'm willing to ship internationally.

And I think I'll have three second place winners too: your choice of any of the Time of Transition books--The Wish List, As You Wish, or Wishful Thinking. When I contact you for your address be sure to tell me which one you want.

Can you tell I'm excited about this upcoming release?
--Gabi

  2. During the preparation of my first manuscript for submission,I thought of at least three events that my help me succeed--a publisher pitch session, a mentor, and finding a coach. Within a week or two, each of those opportunities appeared for me.

  3. Ah...well, the love affair I've had with my husband for the last seventeen years has been truly magical.

And then, there's my critique partner who has turned my manuscript into a magical tale.

And I can't forget, mom and dad, who are 82 & 83 respectively, who have forever changed my life by letting me believe in magic.

  4. I believe everything happens for a reason and I would consider that magic. Last year I was really stressed at my job and wasn't sure how I'd start looking for another, which was depressing, then I got a call from a placement company/headhunter and now I'm in a job where there is less stress!
Call it divine intervention or magic but when things line up like that I'm a bit in awe!!!
On a humorous note, a wand to take care of things like housework, laundry, lawncare etc, I'd very much like that! LOL!
My email is diall@shaw.ca and I'm looking forward to this release too!!!

  7. There is magic in everyday life. What is sad that not many people recognize it for what it is. But then a friend said I was an open minded soul.

Wand looks like it would be fun. Hehe.

  9. I am so excited for your upcoming release, and would LOVE to win a copy:) And as for what is magical in my life, excluding the obvious such as my husband, children, etc.), I would have to say music. It speaks to my soul & has pulled me from many a dark place in my life, and provided a soundtrack to the fun times as well. Looking forward to having my own personal magic wand!! Best wishes to you, Gabi- you truly have a magical talent yourself;)

    1. I'm not there yet, but I"m totally missing my own kids at that age. They're all to old now to do that. Maybe we should bring such actions back even at their age. Next time I see my mother, I'm doing exactly this.

    1. I'm so sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful gift to have a grandmother. I never knew any of mine because my parents immigrated to the US, and the grandparents lived on the other side of the world.

  12. The magic in my life is that I am here. Several years ago I suffered a spinal cord injury. Had to leave my home and move in with family. I am thankful to them for that. Now I am to the point that I can take care of myself and have moved into a apt. I love it here. I would love to have your new book. Have already got the first two.

  15. I was adopted and the family I was placed with is magic. I have been given two sisters and the chance to do whatever I want (within reason). I have traveled to Jamaica, Italy, London, Ireland and several other places in the states on my own or in a group. I went to a fantastic college and graduated with a degree. And when I do make mistakes, my family is always there to help me out. SO, the magic in my life is my family.

  17. Something in my life that I would consider magic, would be the moments in which every bad thing can happen at once and then suddenly something wonderful happens. I think that is magical because you never thought in those dark times that something good can happen.

  20. I love Springtime it is simply magical. I have flowers the blooming hummingbirds have just arrived a few weeks ago. Just last week a nest full of bluebirds hatched in the corner of my gutters.
The rebirth of the world to something so colorful and green after winter time just makes me believe in that the fairies have been busy at work.
